Index of convicts reported apprehended in NSW in the period. This project deals with NSW in the 1830-40 period, which is the last 10 years convicts were transported to NSW and the first 10 years of general free immigration to the colony.

The index has been selective in that the project is topic generated. AIl information on one topic is extracted and arranged alphabetically
to enable researchers quick access to the volumes of information to be found in these newspapers. As the project has progressed it has
become clear that it fills a gap that cannot be filled in any other way. As much information as possible has been extracted from the
newspapers to allow for more positive identification of individuals.
